What We Do
The Otonabee – South Monaghan Public Library provides services for over 6,670 residents of Otonabee – South Monaghan Township. Branches are located in Keene, Stewart Hall and Bailieboro.
The library offers material in many formats that meet the needs for recreational interests and leisure reading. This service responds to the community's need for pleasurable leisure time activities for individuals and families.
The library provides an important community place that encourages people to meet and interact.
The library provides services that address the desire for self-directed personal growth and development. We also strive to support families with fostering a life long love of books; and a desire to learn in children that will help them live productive and satisfying lives.
The library reaches out to its neighbours and partners to support its mission and vision. The library aspires to be a valued community partner that contributes by informing and inspiring it's citizenry.
Through the Learning Centre (Keene Branch) and the two other Branches, the library provides ten computer terminals with various hardware peripherals and software packages for patrons to take courses, one-to-one tutoring, use the internet, carry out personal activities and act as a download station for e-Books.
